Pence Family {Southern California Family Photographer}

Wow, It's been awhile without any pictures. I've had lots going on lately. =) I took the Pence's family pictures a few weeks ago and for only shooting for maybe 20 minutes (?) I think they turned out good! I'm still learning and figuring out all of the kinks of photography and editing that's for sure. Time is everything as well as lighting! You need to allow yourself enough time to shoot, and you can't shoot in the middle of the day. I'm learning!

It's that time again! My amazing Sister in Law over at JustDawnelle Designs asked me to edit a few pictures for her blog post coming up on Thursday. Of course I am more than happy because I get to see more pictures of my beautiful niece and nephew. How cute are they??

Chaz: Eagle Court of Honor {Southern California Teen Photographer}

Okay, now that the shoot is over and the editing is done I've learned a few more things...

  

     [1] Teenage boys don't like to smile

     [2] Teenage boys text a LOT

     [3] Teenage boys do NOT like getting their pictures taken

Yup, that about sums it all up! Needless to say, it was a learning experience. I also reconfirmed with myself that I really don't like taking pictures inside, let alone in a church building. And that it gets dark out earlier and earlier this time of year! Oh well right? You learn to make do with what you have huh? 

Congratulations on earning Eagle Scout Chaz, I'm sure your family is more than proud of you!

Chaz's Eagle Scout Court of Honor: Sneak Peek {Southern California Teen Photographer}

A really great kid in our ward earned his Eagle and tonight was the Court of Honor. Actually, FOUR really great kids earned their Eagle tonight from our ward. Have I mentioned how AMAZING our ward is? Chaz's Mom was left without a photographer last minute and I was more than happy to step up to the plate and take pictures of his special night. Thanks Mellissa, and Congratulations Chaz, earning Eagle is something to be very proud of! 

Anderson Family {Southern California Family Photography}

Okay first things first... Seeing the pictures of Tim with his daughter made my heart melt... and makes me long for a daughter for Nathan! They were SO sweet together. I love that Father-Daughter bond... maybe because I cherish the bond with my Dad so much. After doing this session, I learned several things. Taking pictures of an almost 2 year old little boy is HARD... It's about the last thing he wanted to do. He loved the cars on the freeway though- as do most all little boys. I also learned, there can never be enough cuteness in one picture. This family was CUTE! Thanks again Holly!
