Sneak Peek: Baby Trent {Newborn Photography}

First things First... Newborns intimidate me. I don't know what it is about them, this morning was actually only my 3rd newborn I've photographed, but there is something about these tiny little people that make me nervous! I think it's because they're so unpredicatable. Are they going to be awake, sleeping, fussy, happy, etc. You just never know with these precious little people... But alas they certainly are the sweetest, most innocent little darlings. Baby Trent was no exception, and while I'm in no way ready in the least bit to welcome our little miss, it sure was nice to be able to hold an itty bitty baby again (and it sure makes J look HUGE!) Thanks again Susy for letting me take a few pictures of baby Trent, he's a handsome boy!

Jaxon is ONE! {Southern California Infant Photography}

I can hardly fathom the idea that this once little 9lb 5oz baby is now a fiesty, crazy, active ONE YEAR OLD! I know our family can't picture life without this crazy boy and I don't even remember what life was like before the j-man came along. Everything has been on J-dub time, even his birth, coming a whole 2 weeks late! If he doesn't want something there's no forrcing him, and the same goes for if he wants something- he will get it! He's a climber, hugger, biter, snuggler, and lover all in one! He's the perfect little addition to our family. I can't wait to see how he reacts when baby sister gets here.. I'm sure we'll be in for a crazy, wild ride! :) Happy Birthday big guy, we sure do love your little spirit!

 

 

Megan {Maternity Shoot} New Jersey

I had the pleasure of taking a few pictures for a completely impromptu shoot of my very best friend Megan while I was home in New Jersey a week ago. Although the reason for being home (My Nana passed away) wasn't upbeat, it was nice to see Megan and hang out with her for a few hours during the week. Although every time I have to leave it's hard because we go so long without seeing each other. I'm glad to know despite not seeing each other very much we still remain best friends and can pick up exactly where we left off. We've had our ups and downs like any other friendship but through the years we've learned from everything we've been through! Thanks for being an excellent friend Megmar, I love you and can't wait to see pictures of your newest beauty when she arrives! Megan is due anyday and looking fabulous as usual! I know our daughters will be best friends also!

Sneak Peek: Orozco Family {Southern California Family Photographer}

This was such a fun shoot! Let me preface by saying shooting families w/ older kids is SO easy and FUN! This family was especially easy and fun. Their daughters are seriously so beautiful and made taking pictures a piece of cake. See for yourself...

Gender Announcement {Southern California Children Photographer}

It's true our 4th little baby is indeed a GIRL! After three boys and a surprise baby, we were thrilled to find out she was a SHE. I knew exactly what I wanted to do to announce her gender and it would involve my three little men in matching blue polos with lots and lots of pink balloons! It turned out SO fun! We can't wait to meet this new little miss of our family... The boys have lovingly named her Sissy and it kind of just stuck. 

Nelson Family {Southern California Family Photographer}

This cool family is in our ward here in SoCal and we've enjoyed many playdates with their grandson Zachery. Can I just say how EASY it is to take pictures when there is only 1 child to worry about. I love shooting families but it's been my experience so far that shooting families with several kids is difficult on everybody involved. I feel sorry for the kids. Needless to say Zachery did GREAT! With children coming into town and children going out of town just before Christmas we had just a short amount of time to shoot some family shots but I think we made out okay. Thanks Nelson Family! 

Pence Family {Southern California Family Photographer}

Wow, It's been awhile without any pictures. I've had lots going on lately. =) I took the Pence's family pictures a few weeks ago and for only shooting for maybe 20 minutes (?) I think they turned out good! I'm still learning and figuring out all of the kinks of photography and editing that's for sure. Time is everything as well as lighting! You need to allow yourself enough time to shoot, and you can't shoot in the middle of the day. I'm learning!
